Ann Keil Dux is an Emmy award-winning journalist turned communications coach and consultant, media trainer, accomplished writer, producer and public speaker who delivers strong analytical skills, strategic thinking and an unwavering dedication to a high-quality work product. Her media insider expertise lends itself to an unmatched ability to spotlight a client’s unique brand and authentic voice as well as grow impact through strategic storytelling.

Ann Keil Dux, MBA, is an Emmy award-winning journalist turned communications coach and consultant, on-camera media trainer, brand strategist, writer, public speaker and community advocate. She founded Miami-based consulting firm Dux Communications with a singular focus in mind: Adopt a journalistic approach to communicating the unique passion and purpose of companies, causes, and their leaders. Her firm’s high value service areas include public speaking, on-camera media training, virtual presentation and multimedia content creation for corporate, non-profit and governmental leadership and their teams. She has proven herself an expert in impactful delivery in person, on-camera and within her writing, a talent she shares with clients and employers.

Before Ann shifted into entrepreneurship, she spent more than a decade as a television news reporter with a focus on politics and public safety, a fine-tuned specialization originating in Washington, D.C., where she earned a master’s degree in Journalism and Public Affairs. Throughout Ann’s television journalism career, she tackled numerous investigative stories centered around societal concerns to include health, consumer, immigration policy and the environment, winning multiple awards that further highlighted the true impact of her work. A Miami native, Ann returned home in 2015 to work for the #1-rated local news station WSVN-TV where she received a second Emmy Award for “Death of a Dictator” and nods for her breaking news coverage of a mass teen shooting on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Ann has long supported the non-profit sector through advocacy and volunteerism. She serves as the 2020-2022 United Way of Miami-Dade’s Young Leaders Co-Chair and is an active member of United Way Women United and Small Business United. Ann is also a member of Investigative Reporters and Editors, the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce and the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami Women Building up Women philanthropy group. In 2017, she was recognized as a ‘Women of Style & Substance’ by the South Florida Luxury Guide, and in 2020, she was named an Equitable Advisors Businesswomen of the Year Award finalist. Upon graduation from the University of Miami with a Global Executive MBA in Fall 2020, she was awarded a Miami Herbert Business School Leadership Award. Ann often lends her voice as a communications expert, moderator, spokesperson, or panelist to documentary style video productions, and educational, in-person and virtual programming.
